My Experience:

Paralegal Certificate - Worked under the supervision of an attorney for 15 years. Where necessary, I will defer to the expertise of an attorney whom I highly trust to advise and assist clients.

Past President of the California Association of Legal Document Assistants (CALDA) and secretary of my local chapter.

Notary public.

I am registered and bonded in San Mateo County, although I can work anywhere in the state of California. I have been working with other Legal Document Assistants for several years and have a great deal of hands-on experience in the Services I can provide.

Member of the Better Business Bureau.

Legal Document Assistants are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice. Before January 1, 2000 a LDA was called an Independent Paralegal. California SB 1418 (a law to register legal document assistants) was signed by the governor on September 30, 1999, becoming effective January 1, 2000 which now REQUIRES all Legal Document Assistants to be registered and bonded. Be sure when using a self-help service you choose someone who has met the requirements of a Legal Document Assistant and is registered and bonded.
